SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Kevin Magnussen believes his new team Haas has the potential to outperform his current team Renault next season.On Friday Haas confirmed Magnussen would join on a multi-year contract from Renault over the winter, pairing the Dane with Romain Grosjean in 2017. In its debut season, the American team outperformed the French manufacturer, but Renault is expected make a big step forward next year with an injection of funding from its parent company.However, Magnussen is still convinced he has made the right decision and believes Haas can build a more competitive car than Renault next season.I think we have a decent chance to challenge Renault and other teams -- the same teams they have been challenging this year as well, he said. So I believe they will keep a consistent level, keep up this level, and perhaps even improve. Last season, Louisville allowed the third-highest rate of pressures in the Power 5 (38.9 percent of dropbacks), and its ground game offered little support, which forced Jackson to become a runner rather than a passer.
