If you are planning to fish on your trip, there are some things you will need. You will need a Florida fishing license. These can be purchased at most bait or tackle shops in the state. The weather tends to be hot and the sun is strong, so you will need protection. Be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Wear light weight, comfortable clothing to help keep cool in the hot weather. Bring along a rod, tackle and a camera to capture a picture of the big one.

Guided fishing tours are available at most large lakes. These can be half day or full day trips. The rates for the tours vary according to the company and time of year. Reduced rates are available for larger parties. Some guided tours provide tackle. Be sure to ask when you book the tour.

State Parks near Central Florida Lakes:
The state park system in Florida is one of the largest in the country. There are over twenty that are not far from the downtown Orlando area. Many are located near large lakes as well. Some of the closest parks to the downtown area include: Wekiwa Springs State Park and Tosohatchee State Reserve.

The proximity of the parks allows you to experience nature, while staying close to the theme parks. You will find wildlife, vegetation and native birds. A variety of animals call the state parks home. Some of the animals you may encounter include: alligators, turtles, river otters, raccoons, bobcats, black bears, foxes and deer. A variety of birds can be found in the parks as well. Bald Eagles, ospreys, turkey, owls, hawks and sand hill cranes are often found in state parks.

HAVANA, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The United States' sanction threatagainst Venezuela could backfire by reviving its image as anarrogant imperial power in the region, Cuban political observerManuel Yepe has said.


"The United States does not gain very much by imposing sanctionsagainst Venezuela and the socialist government of President NicolasMaduro," Yepe, a former diplomat and ex-director of Cuba's PrensaLatina news agency, told Xinhua on Friday.


The United States took a more explicit stance to backVenezuela's opposition in its struggle for power earlier this week,echoing the opposition's demand that the government cancel the July30 election for the members of the National Constituent Assembly(ANC) to review the constitution and possibly draft a new one.


The government reckons the July 30 election as the best way tolead the country out of the current political and economic crisis,while the opposition sees the move as a power grab by Maduro.


On Monday, a White House statement from President Donald Trumpwarned: "If the Maduro regime imposes its Constituent Assembly onJuly 30, the United States will take strong and swift economicactions."


However, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said "it is not thefirst time we have denounced and confronted crazy threats such asthose contained in this unusual document," and vowed to hold thevote as planned, despite this latest "brutal threat."


"If (the U.S.) goes through with it, Latin America would reactin a big way," said Yepe.


Some 150,000 Venezuelan troops will be guarding 14,515 votingstations, as the country's 20 million registered voters go to thepolls on July 30.


While "the sanctions would make Venezuela's domestic situationworse, it would not benefit the United States to add difficultiesto its cracked hegemonic power," said Yepe.


The right of calling for a constituent assembly is consecratedin the country's 1999 constitution, he said.


"The Venezuelan state has the power to do what it is doing.There is nothing illegal or punishable about it," he said.


However, Yepe said, Venezuela's aspirations clash with those ofthe "U.S. establishment, which wants to remove from the top theproblem that an independent Venezuela presents for its hegemonicplans in Latin America."
