LIMA Cheap Nike Air Max Shoes , Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- U.S. trade policy has taken such a drastic turn that it may well affect trade with Latin America, said Sebastian Herreros, the representative for economic affairs of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
In an interview with Xinhua, Herreros explained that, according to ECLAC, around 24.9 percent of total U.S. exports head to Latin America and the Caribbean, while imports from the region account for 19.2 percent of the total.

"There is a new focus that is far more centered on reducing trade deficits, on bilateralism, and in certain cases, far more protectionist attitudes," said Herreros.
Among U.S. President Donald Trump's first measures after taking office was to remove the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
"A very obvious proof was the U.S. exit from the TPP Cheap Air Max 90 Shoes , the suspension of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) with the EU and the questions being directed at the World Trade Organization," he noted.
However, in the region, preoccupation has been centered around the current renegotiation of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
"The renegotiation of NAFTA falls under the same logic. It has not been going very well until now and many of the proposals made by the U.S. are really very radical, very difficult for Canada and Mexico to accept," explained Herreros.

"The U.S. has said that if the new agreement is not satisfactory, it will exit, which would certainly have strong consequences for Mexico and Canada."

KIGALI, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Rwanda and Inmarsat, a global mobile satellite communications firm Thursday signed an agreement to facilitate launch of a series of digital services across Kigali.
The deal would see Inmarsat deploy Low Power Wide Area Network infrastructure around the city of Kigali in part to support the Rwandan capital's flagship smart city project.
The network, which will be active for an initial period of a year from May 1 Cheap Nike Air Max 90 , 2017 will be the connectivity platform for a variety of Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and will provide a blueprint for smart city projects throughout Africa, according to officials.

Paul Gudonis, president of Inmarsat Enterprise, explained on the significance of the smart city initiative.

Hamadoun Toure, Executive Director at Smart Africa, the summit's organizer, said they were pleased with partnership with Inmarsat.
"Africa's single digital market can be a reality with such partner. The time is right. Africa is on the rise. Sebuh Hellulah, the General Manager of Microsoft for Eastern and Southern Africa said that they looked forward to playing a huge role in supporting the organization's technology initiatives.
He said Microsoft support would be in form of technology to enable governments become more digital.
