In September 2017, he was charged in connection with a murder in Tennessee and jailed. In August 2018, prosecutors dropped a homicide charge against him, as Wright pleaded guilty to an aggravated robbery facilitation charge. Wright left jail and received a five-year supervised probation sentence. Head coach Jason Brown is still at Independence in 2018 after leading a turnaround to 9-2 and a bowl win in 2017.Jason Brown at IndependenceNetflixLaTonya Pinkard, who puts in extra time as a mentor to several players and emerges as a much-needed contrast to the bellowing Brown, is still at Indy as an associate English professor.Malik Henry, the show’s third Florida State transfer QB in three years, was Indy’s primary passer for nine games before freshman Drake Smith took over. But the Sooners dismissed him in November. After a strong 2017 that included 518 total yards in the season’s two biggest games (and a lot of those big runs behind Moore), RB Rakeem Boyd is at Arkansas. He’s a former Texas A&M three-star.RB Kingston Davis, who struggled for playing time behind Boyd and the hard-running Jamal Scott, landed at UAB.WR Carlos Thompson, the star receiver who’s out of Division I eligibility after signing at Texas Tech in 2013, is now at Division II Missouri Western State, the school whose recruiter brags on the show about a very expensive Jumbotron.WR Calvin Jackson Jr. signed with Washington State. That’s full circle, because the Vols were the West Tennessee native’s first offer, four years earlier.In June, LB Bobby Bruce was charged with armed robbery near his hometown of Titusville, Florida.
