offered us a platter of stale prospect matchups that didn’t get anyone too excited. Week 3 offers up 3 big matchups that have a lot of star power playing. After the season Jachai Polite NFL Draft , these are games draft guys will be playing over and over again to evaluate prospects. I will be prioritizing games with prospects that fit our primary needs. Those are as follows: Edge, T, RB, G, ILB, TE and CB. Here are just a few games to check out, and who you should keep a keen scouting eye on throughout. If Lee can prove that week 1’s play wasn’t a fluke, ILBer might be taken off this list.LSU Vs. Auburn (Sat 9/15, 3:30 PM EST, CBS)G, Garrett Brumfield, LSU (#78)Brumfield isn’t the biggest guy, but he plays with an anger and an edge. He is a smooth mover, and quick. He would look very good in a zone blocking scheme like ours.Off-Ball LBer, Devin White, LSU (#40)What seems to be a trend with the LBers in the spotlight here, White is very athletic and has great range. Like the others, he has a hard time getting off blocks. His coverage skills are a plus.CB, Greedy Williams, LSU (#29)Greedy is one of if not the best defensive backs in this class. He has a near flawless resume, but does tend to be in chase mode a lot.Other Notable prospects: QB, Jarrett Stidham, Auburn #8 - DT, Rashard Lawrence Jachai Polite Buffalo Bills Jersey , LSU #90 - DT, Breiden Fehoko, LSU (#91) - DT, Derrick Brown, Auburn #5Alabama Vs. Ole Miss (Sat 9/15, 7:00 PM EST, ESPN)Edge, Anfernee Jennings, Alabama (#33)Anfernee is a powerful edge setter that uses his hands very well to gain leverage. He isn’t that explosive or fast though, which hurts his pass rushing ability.OT, Jonah Williams, Alabama (#73)Jonah Williams is probably the most well put together tackle in the draft. He is also scheme fluid, which will drive his stock up to being a top pick in 2019.OT, Greg Little, Ole Miss, (#74)Greg Little is a very fluid and athletic tackle who will make waves come draft season. He needs to show a lot more consistency with technique, especially in pass protection.G, Lester Cotton, Alabama (#66)Cotton is an immovable boulder that sets the tone with aggression, and attitude. When he starts pulling, he can latch onto his blocks and utterly destroy them.Off-Ball LBer, Mack Wilson, Alabama (#33)Mack is a downhill LBer that shows a lot of grit taking on blocks and shedding them. Wilson also has the range to chase down ball carriers sideline to sideline.TE, Dawson Knox Color Rush Jachai Polite Jersey , Ole Miss (#9)Knox is a great receiving threat with the body size to match. His hands are reliable, and has intimate knowledge of routs being an ex QB. His blocking lease something to be desired.TE, Irv Smith, Alabama (#82)Irv is another athletic TE that gets overlooked on an Alabama offense. Irv has a tendency to find the gaps in zones, and then exploits them.Other Notable prospects: WR, D.K. Metcalf, Ole Miss #14 - WR, A.J. Brown, Ole Miss #1 - WR, DaMarkus Lodge, Ole Miss ,5# DT, Raekwon Davis, Alabama #99 - DT, Isaiah Buggs, Alabama #49 - S, Deionte Thompson, Alabama #14 Ohio State Vs. TCU (Sat, 9/15, 8:00 PM EST, ABC)Edge, Nick Bosa, Ohio State (#97)Bosa could quite possible be the number one overall pick when it’s all said and done. Everything about Nick’s game is refined and effective. Edge, Ben Banogu Youth Jachai Polite Jersey , TCU (#15)Ben is an athletic edge guy that gets off the snap in a hurry. His motor is also top notch. His problems lies rawness in pass rushing moves. He is pretty repetitive.RB, Mike Weber, Ohio State (#25)2017 was an off year for Weber because he was suffering from injuries. When healthy, Mike is a little bowling ball with great balance, and the ability to break loose and separate in space. OG, Michael Jordan, Ohio State (#73)Jordan has a great base that allows him to anchor in pass sets, and plow through people in the running game. His footwork on the other hand needs some work.Off-Ball LBer, Tuf Borland, Ohio State (#32)Injury and strength concerns aside, Borland is an impressive LBer. He has great range to the outside, while also showing the ability to be aggressive at the LOS.Off-Ball LBer, Ty Summers, TCU (#42)Summers is and firecracker off the snap, and packs quite the punch with his tackles. Ty just needs to do a better job of wrapping up.CB, Kendall Sheffield, Ohio State, (#8)Kendall is a heady corner that does well in all aspects of the position, but doesn’t poses the strength needed to be a factor at the line. Other Notable prospects: DT, Robert Landers, Ohio State #67 - DT, Dre’Mont Jones, Ohio State #86 FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Mike Maccagnan resisted the urge to trade down or make his first pick based solely on need to kick off the New York Jets‘ draft weekend. He ended up with perhaps the best overall talent in this year’s class Womens Jachai Polite Jersey , taking Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams at No. 3 on Thursday night. It’s hard to criticize that selection — a no-brainer — by the Jets general manager, even if taking a punishing pass rusher would have filled one of the team’s biggest needs.“When you factor (need) into your evaluation process,” Maccagnan said, “you run the risk of potentially making a mistake.”Maccagnan made it clear New York was open for business to trade on the draft’s opening night but found no suitable offers — and instead bolstered his defensive line with Williams.“I’m coming in to be a dominant player up front,” Williams said, “and be a dominant player, in general.”As it turned out, Maccagnan got his edge rusher Friday night, when he took a gamble on Florida’s talented but polarizing Jachai Polite in the third round. Then came some wheeling and dealing. The Jets moved up one spot by trading with Minnesota to take USC offensive tackle Chuma Edoga with the 92nd overall pick. New York then traded down twice early Saturday before grabbing West Virginia tight end Trevon Wesco in the fourth round.Maccagnan wrapped up the Jets’ draft haul by making some risky selections: Minnesota linebacker Blake Cashman in the fifth round, and Rutgers cornerback Blessuan Austin in the sixth. Both come with injury concerns — Coleman had three shoulder surgeries in college, and Austin tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee twice.“Like everything else, you’re never really done building the roster,” Maccagnan said. “You’re constantly doing that, but we felt at this point in time we made some good strides, and we have some good pieces in place.”Here’s one last look at the Jets’ draft:WHO THEY GOTIt all starts with Williams, of course. For the third straight year, the player many considered the best in the draft “fell” to the Jets. It was safety Jamal Adams in 2017 and quarterback Sam Darnold last year. Both are cornerstones of the franchise, and Williams has a chance to quickly become one, too.Polite was initially thought to be a first-round talent, but his draft stock plummeted because of a hamstring injury that affected his NFL combine performance and pro day. Nagging character issues also added to the flaws, but the Jets could be getting a steal if Polite’s mind and body are right as he begins his pro career.Edoga could eventually work his way to a starting role at right or left tackle, and he can play guard, too. Oh, and he and Darnold were once teammates at USC Authentic Jachai Polite Jersey , which certainly doesn’t hurt.Wesco is a big blocking tight end who could quickly become a favorite of running back Le’Veon Bell if he can help blow open some holes up front.Cashman and Austin are developmental players who might make their marks early on special teams. Maccagnan said Austin could start camp on the physically unable to perform list, so it’s uncertain how much impact he’ll make this season.SURPRISE MOVETrading up to take Edoga had some fans scratching their heads, especially those hoping for a cornerback or center at that point in the draft. Those same fans were a bit baffled a round later when the Jets took a blocking tight end in Wesco.HOW THEY DIDThere will be plenty of excitement about New York’s defensive front with Williams combining with Leonard Williams, Henry Anderson, Steve McLendon and Nathan Shepherd, the team’s third-rounder last year, expected to put lots of pressure on quarterbacks up the middle.A motivated Polite could also eventually give the Jets a consistent pass-rushing presence from the outside that they have lacked since the days of John Abraham in the early 2000s.The other selections, perhaps other than Wesco, could take some time before becoming regular contributors.WHAT’S NEXT?New York still has quite a few holes, including at cornerback, where Trumaine Johnson is a certain starter on one side and Darryl Roberts appears to be the favorite on the other. Morris Claiborne remains a free agent and is rehabilitating an undisclosed injury, said Maccagnan, who also didn’t rule out bringing the veteran back.Center remains a question mark, too, with Jonotthan Harrison the leading candidate to start. Jon Toth, who spent last season on the practice squad, is the only other player at the position on the roster, so the Jets could explore bringing in a veteran free agent.
